Billion dollars worth of support came from the US government for electric car production. The Biden administration, which aims to activate the closed electric car factories in the country, will pay 1.7 billion dollars to open the factories.
USA’s electric car production support spurred Jeep into action!
The recent decline in electric car sales has affected the entire market. While there is no such problem in China, Europe and America are not very happy with electric car sales. The proof of this is the sales figures we shared recently. However, for those who are not convinced, closed factories can also be cited as examples.
Taking action to stop this situation, the USA started working to reactivate the closed electric car factories. The government, which aims to provide financial support worth a total of 1.7 billion dollars to these factories, is trying to reopen the factories that produce electric cars or their parts.
The first response to the call of the Biden administration, which aims to activate a total of 11 factories in 8 states, comes from Jeep. Stellantis, which is among the companies supported by the USA, will activate the Cherokee factory in the country. Likewise, General Motors will turn its facility in the country into an electric vehicle production center.
The fact that both companies are headquartered in the USA seems to speed up the process. Let’s see if the falling electric car sales in the country will rise with this step. What do you think about the US’s billion-dollar support? You can express your ideas in the comments.
